The College of Biomedical Equipment Technology has a uniquely designed Skillbridge program that includes an accredited educational component and when possible, an On-the-Job training component. The education component of the program will encompass the entirety of the Service Members approved Skillbridge program (determined by the Service Members Commander). Additionally, when OJT components are established, the duration of the OJT component will be determined by the partner healthcare organization.

Our programs support Servicemembers with transferable skillsets bridge the gap between your military education and experience and the demands of the healthcare industry.

Absolutely. Our programs are designed with maximum flexibility in mind. We understand that life is busy, particularly if you are serving in the Armed Forces. We have students around the world participating in our programs (including several Sailors serving at sea). If you have an internet connection and the ability to focus time towards your academic studies you can successfully complete the CBET.EDU programs and emerge job ready.

While most Skillbridge opportunities are full-time, it is also possible to participate in a part-time capacity. It is important to check the specific details of each program to determine if part-time participation is available.

Although Skillbridge programs provide valuable training, experience, and networking opportunities, there is no absolute guarantee of employment upon completion. However, the employer partners with whom we work do understand our obligation to support Servicemembers and their families and work dilligently to offer full-time employment opportunities to Skillbridge Participants.

At this time, the Skillbridge Program is primarily designed for active-duty service members. However, there are separate programs and resources available to National Guard and Reserve service members to assist with their transitions to the civilian workforce.
