Lisa Gonzales
Vice President of Student Services and Skillbridge Advisor

Lisa Gonzales serves as the Vice president of Student Services and as a Skillbridge Advisor at the College of Biomedical Equipment Technology located in San Antonio, Texas. In her role, she leads essential functions, including enrollment and admissions services, student professional development programs, and the seamless operation of career services. Lisa’s dedication extends beyond Student Services as she actively supports students in the Professional Career Development Course as one of two assigned instructors. Notably, Lisa brings a wealth of experience from her previous senior executive position at Thomas Miller, a renowned international shipping and insurance company located in London, United Kingdom. With her impressive background and unwavering commitment, Lisa Gonzales is an invaluable asset to our institution, ensuring the success and growth of our students.  In addition to her academic and professional background, Lisa is also a certified Resilience-Building Leadership Professional Trainer (RBLP-T).

Lesley Harrington
Director of Career Services

Lesley Harrington serves as the Director of Career Services for the College of Biomedical Equipment Technology. In her capacity as the Director of Career Services, Lesley works as a liaison connecting qualified students to employers. She is an integral member of the Student Services team and is directly involved in supporting students preparing to enter the Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) career field by offering HTM career guidance, interview preparation, and professional development advice. In addition to her role in Career Services, Lesley is one of two instructors assigned to support students enrolled in the Professional Career Development Course. Lesley is a proud Texas A&M University graduate who has spent most of her professional career in service to others. She served as a volunteer coordinator at the United Service Organization (USO) and spent many years serving various non-profit organizations that benefit Military Servicemembers and their families. In addition to her academic and professional background, Lesley is also a certified Resilience-Building Leadership Professional Trainer (RBLP-T).

Olivia Carter
Career Services Coordinator

Olivia Carter serves as the Career Services Coordinator and a member of the Student Services team at the College of Biomedical Equipment Technology. She works in the Career Services team to connect students and alumni with training and employment opportunities within the Healthcare Technology Management industry. Olivia also supports students in the Professional Career Development (PCDV) Course and offers HTM career guidance and advice. Prior to joining the college, Olivia served as an administrative clerk for a county clerk’s office, passionately serving her local community. When Olivia is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and Corgi, Bennett (not always in that order).

Our students and alumni have access to the CBET Careers Job Board to browse new training and employment opportunities in the HTM Career Field. Log into the site to access our Job Board in order to review jobs and training opportunities from our industry partners.

If you find a job that is no longer active, would like to post a job opening at your company/facility, or have questions, please email our Career Services team at htmcareers@cbet.edu. Please come back and review our Job Board often, as new opportunities are posted daily. Employers are interviewing and hiring our qualified students now, often before completion of their CBET.EDU program.

Yes. The College offers career services and support to enrolled students and program graduates. The Career Services team provides career guidance and industry job search support to assist our students and alumni to find job placement in the Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) career field. We work to connect qualified candidates with our vast network of industry partners and employers who have available training and employment opportunities.

The Career Services team also offers resume writing support, job interview preparation, and access to the CBET Job Board. If a student is seeking opportunities in the industry, Career Services team will add them to the Job Placement Assistance email list and the student will receive weekly email updates with new employment and training opportunities across the country.

No. Employers are hiring qualified candidates now, so if you are interested in applying to a position in the industry while you are still enrolled in your Certificate or Degree program, contact the Career Services team and they will be happy to provide guidance and support in obtaining employment.

Absolutely! The Career Services team is dedicated to assisting our current students, as well as alumni in their industry job search.

Yes, students and alumni can always reach out for assistance and we will look to see if we can connect you to available opportunities in your area or desired location of employment. We can also support you in making decisions regarding career pathing and alignment of your educational and professional goals.

Yes, the Career Services team works to connect our Military Skillbridge students with OJT opportunities across the country. It is important that you keep us updated on your Skillbridge OJT dates of availability and location preferences, so that we have the most accurate information to connect you with a potential OJT opportunity.
