The course is designed to introduce students to the procedures and equipment used to test and analyze medical equipment performance in the field. Students will analyze various types of TMDE that is utilized in the performance of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities within Healthcare Delivery Organizations (HDO), including Hospitals, Independent Service Organizations (ISO), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), and other service providers.

Students will participate in discussions on the material and equipment covered throughout the course and explain the functions of commonly used test equipment, the importance of calibration, traceability, and documentation within the healthcare industry.
