AAMI Foundation Michael J. Miller Scholarship Program
The AAMI Foundation, through its Awards Committee, will award scholarships annually to students studying to become biomedical equipment technicians or health technology-specific engineering, including clinical and health systems engineering. Each of the scholarships are worth $3,000 and are awarded in a one-time, lump sum check to each scholarship winner at the AAMI Exchange.
Candidates must demonstrate
Applicants must be entering or current full-time college students seeking a career in the healthcare technology profession at a college or university accredited by one of the six regional accrediting agencies or the equivalent. Typical programs would include degrees in biomedical equipment technology, electrical, mechanical, or clinical engineering, and physics or the health sciences.
Applicants must still be considered current students to be eligible for all AAMI Foundation scholarships. Prospective candidates should carefully review the AAMI Scholarship website for updated information on application windows and eligibility criteria.

Ohms Law Foundation “Current of Change” Scholarship
The “Current of Change” Scholarship supports students currently enrolled in the Biomedical Equipment Technology field. This scholarship assists individuals pursuing a certificate program, two-year associate degree, or industry certification in Biomedical Equipment Technology.
Established through Ohms Law Foundation’s mission to Be the Current. Amplify Potential. Build the Future. This scholarship promotes access to education and recognizes students who are committed to building careers that strengthen patient care through technology.
The scholarship is open to students actively enrolled in an accredited Biomedical Equipment Technology certificate or associate degree program, or individuals pursuing a recognized industry certification in the HTM field.
To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Active Enrollment: Applicants must provide proof of enrollment in an eligible Biomedical Equipment Technology program or certification track.
- Essay Requirement: Applicants must submit a 1,000-word essay describing their background, career goals, and reasons for pursuing a career in the Biomedical Equipment Technology profession.
- Letter of Recommendation: Applicants may include one letter of recommendation from an instructor, supervisor, or professional mentor who can speak to their character, dedication, and potential within the HTM field.
Recipients will be selected based on clarity of purpose, dedication to the field, and alignment with the mission of Ohms Law Foundation.
