Welcome to the Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) training portal! This platform is designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and skills for a successful career in healthcare technology. Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) Competition Format

The Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) competition introduces students to one of the most vital and in-demand roles in healthcare: the professionals who maintain and repair the devices that patients and doctors rely on every day. From surgical robots and ventilators to patient monitors and dental equipment, BMETs combine technical expertise, problem-solving, and a passion for healthcare safety.

Competition Overview. Competitors will prepare for and compete in a 50-question multiple-choice exam plus a tie-breaker essay. The competition is aligned with the AAMI Certified Associate in Biomedical Technology (CABT) certification. The multiple-choice exam includes the following topic areas:
