Course Description
This course is designed to equip biomedical equipment technicians with the knowledge and practical skills required to support patient telemetry systems in clinical environments. Participants will explore the functional principles of wireless telemetry, patient signal acquisition, and system integration with central monitoring stations.
The online portion focuses on device operation, system configuration, and communication workflows between transmitters and central stations. The in-person lab emphasizes hands-on service skills, including connecting devices to central monitoring systems, performing common repairs, and completing case replacement procedures. By the end of the course, learners will be able to confidently support telemetry equipment to ensure reliable patient monitoring and minimize system downtime.
