100 Series

Medical Equipment Technician (MET) 100 Series training is offered in both 100% Online and Hybrid formats. The Online option consists of six weeks of instruction with 3–8 hours of engagement per week, including live instructor-led webinars. Course Overview

The MET 100 Series is a six-week foundational training program designed for aspiring entry-level Biomedical Equipment Technicians (BMETs), offering flexible training options including 100% online instruction and weekly live instructor-led training (ILT) webinars.

Students develop foundational knowledge of medical terminology, body systems, medical devices, electronics, networking, safety, and regulatory compliance within healthcare environments. Through structured modules, participants gain familiarity with biomedical equipment, diagnostic tools, technical documentation, troubleshooting methodologies, and industry best practices.

The program also introduces healthcare technology management concepts such as infection control, risk mitigation, and medical device networking fundamentals. The course concludes with a cumulative assessment designed to reinforce core concepts and prepare students for progression into higher-level MET courses.

The MET100 Series is aligned with the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) Certified Associate in Biomedical Technology (CABT) testing objectives.
