Course Overview
Designed specifically for Biomedical Equipment and Imaging Technicians, this course offers participants an opportunity to conduct self-assessments of their skills and knowledge while exploring their organization’s technical capabilities. Building a solid foundation in Information Technology (IT), Information Systems (IS), and Cybersecurity, the course covers critical topics essential for today’s healthcare environment. The course encompasses vital subject matter such as the information systems threat landscape, network infrastructure, cybersecurity principles, and healthcare information systems governance. By emphasizing hands-on applications and practical skills, the BIIS course prepares technicians to effectively manage the challenges and responsibilities associated with medical device integration, cybersecurity issues, and the operational integrity of healthcare information systems. Technicians will emerge from the course equipped with the competencies necessary to navigate the complexities of the Healthcare Internet of Things (HIoT).
